Seasons Coloring Pages

Season pages are the easiest way to match coloring to what a child can see outside the window: rain boots and puddles, a branch with new buds, a robin on a fence, kites over a hill. Each season's collection mixes single-object pages that a preschooler can finish in minutes with full scenes for older kids, and the scenes are supplied in landscape as well as portrait so a garden or a meadow can stretch across the page.
Because nothing here belongs to a holiday, a spring set is as useful in September in the southern hemisphere as in March in the north, and it can go on a classroom wall without any explaining.

Using season pages as a calendar
Print the same kind of subject once per season (a tree, a garden, a pond) and keep the finished pages in a folder. By the end of the year a child has a four-page record of how one place changes, which is a gentler introduction to the seasons than a worksheet.
