Polar Bear Cub
Very easyAges 2–5Portrait

If someone at your table wants a big, friendly animal without a lot of tiny spaces, bears are an easy win. This set starts with simple pages that little hands can settle into fast, like the polar bear cub, the panda with bamboo, and the koala in a tree. The shapes are open, the faces are sweet, and a three-year-old with a fistful of crayons can get going without much help.
As you move through the set, the bears start doing a little more. There is a sun bear reaching for honey, a black bear with berries, and a grizzly by a lake that gives older kids a bit more to notice and color. Even then, these still feel calmer and chunkier than pages like Deer or Squirrels, which tend to have more skinny legs, branches, and small woodland details. Our favorite is the brown bear fishing, it has that sturdy, happy look that feels good to fill in with almost any color choice.
This is a nice set for preschool tables, forest animal units, or adults who want something relaxed at the end of the day. You get real bears in real little moments, without the page turning fussy.

Print at actual size on plain paper. These broad, open bear shapes work well with crayons, colored pencils, or markers.
If you are coloring with younger kids, start near the front of the set. The polar bear cub, panda with bamboo, and brown bear fishing have broad spaces and clear outlines that are easier to stay inside.
For kids who want a bit more to do, the spectacled bear climb, sloth bear termites, and red panda bridge add more small shapes without getting crowded. They give older kids a page that still feels manageable.
These pages work well when you want forest animals with more variety than the usual brown bear idea. You can talk about icy places with the polar bear cub, bamboo with the panda, berries and fish with the black bear and brown bear, then compare them with neighbors like Moose or Raccoons.
Because the poses are clear and the backgrounds stay light, it is easy to turn coloring time into simple conversation about where each bear lives and what it eats.
Bears are nice when you want coloring to feel open ended. Kids can keep the grizzly and black bear natural, then go playful with the panda's bamboo or make the koala's tree bright and unexpected.
If someone gets stuck on choosing colors, this set is forgiving. Browns, black, gray, green, and a little blue for the lake will carry most of the pages nicely.
